Facility Rentals

Thank you for considering the Champaign County Forest Preserves for your event. Whether you're planning a wedding ceremony or reception, family reunion, business meeting or company picnic, we have a facility to accommodate you. We offer open-air shelters and enclosed buildings in beautiful settings.

Buildings and shelters are available to rent at four of the seven forest preserves.

The earliest a reservation may be made is up to one year in advance of the event date and should be made online. If you have questions you can reach staff at (217) 586-3360 or [email protected].

We have no control over weather. If your event is scheduled outdoors, you should make contingency plans in case of inclement weather. We do not have alternates available. Refunds for inclement weather will not be offered.

Because of environmental concerns we do not spray to control mosquitoes, etc. At times they can be a nuisance.

The carillon in Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve is preprogrammed. We do not have the capability to honor special requests.

The Forest Preserves welcome your interest in using our facilities for your wedding and/or reception. Before you make your final decision, however, there are a number of factors of which you should be aware. Please read our special information for wedding activities.

Cutoff Dates

Cutoff dates have been established for new reservations and changes to an existing reservation:

Weekday Events : (Monday - Friday) Must be received at least 3 days before the event date.

Weekend Events : (Saturday & Sunday) Must be received by the Wednesday prior to the weekend of your event.
