Project Overview Complete
Middle Fork is the largest preserve in Champaign County and is a popular camping and hiking destination. In the summer of 2025, the roads and parking areas will be chipped and sealed.
Portions of the roads and parking areas were sealed in 2010, 2015, and 2019, but addressing only areas in the worst condition. There has not been a comprehensive seal coat or road repair at Middle Fork River in over 15 years.
The scope includes:
- repairing roads to improve drainage near the camping sites
- chipping and sealing all roads and parking areas
